Envol reusable hypersonic drone climbing under rocket power through a twilight sky

The Vehicle

Envol, a new class of reusable hypersonic drone.

4 meters long. Two jet engines for takeoff and transit. A cryogenic rocket engine for the ascent. Envol takes off from a conventional runway, ignites its rocket mid-flight, reaches Mach 5 and 200 km altitude, then glides back to land.

Turnaround between flights: under 6 hours.

Built for cadence. Built for reuse.

The Engine

Banger, the cryogenic engine powering Envol.

LOX/propane. Re-ignitable. Fully reusable. Designed in-house by our propulsion team and validated at the DGA Missile Test Center with the support of CNES.

Banger is the propulsion system that makes Envol’s mission profile possible, high thrust outside the atmosphere, multiple boosts per flight, low-cost operations.
